Plastics for
Mechanical Engineering.
Mechanical engineering applications require plastics with high strength, good chemical resistance and reliable performance even at low temperatures.

What Our
Materials Deliver.
Chemical Resistance
The non-polar molecular structure of PP and PE makes them highly resistant to many chemicals, solvents and media. No susceptibility to hydrolysis, low polarity, high crystallinity.
SABIC® PE → SABIC® PP →High Strength & Stiffness
Glass-fibre-reinforced PP compounds (GF10 to GF50) for structurally demanding parts. E-modulus up to 11,000 MPa with Piolen® in-house production.
Piolen® Compounds →Cold Impact Resistance down to −40°C
PP copolymers and impact-modified grades with excellent cold impact behaviour. Charpy testing in our own laboratory down to −40°C.
Piolen® Compounds →Pleasant Feel & Noise Damping
Piolen Soft compounds with optimised feel and noise damping — for machine casings and control elements.
